Its that time again, will take place shortly.
Skin choices will be limited at first but more will follow in time.
Upgrade should take about an hour to complete so we won't be down for long.

When? Between now and the end of the weekend (closer to now I hope :) )

Sending a PM: Pops up a little modal dialog box sort of thing, with a postage-stamp sized editing window, and no way to send an attachment. It'd be nice if it opened the same sort of page as the "post reply to thread" page I'm writing this in: with the file attachment thing, and the full editor, etc.

Smilies in (some?) old messages are broke, making them really hard to read. For example: http://gplr.bcsims.c...?showtopic=2029

In a thread listing, it shows various info about each user in the left margin. It'd be nice (I think) if it also showed "Age: " (if provided by the user). Of course, I remember this other place that used to do that, and they had endless data retention problems... maybe it's related. :)

But when someone responds to your PM it shows the back-and-forth as a little personal 2-man thread... that's neat, I'm digging that!

Just don't like the pop-up for the initial PM.

Great work so far Posted Image
almost everything is improved and working great
things that need a check are, as John said, the emoticons,
I just wrote a message in a private forum with a couple of 'faces' in it and I could see them fine while writing but after posting it, the emoticons were gone, replaced by squared little paintings Posted Image

The size of the show all emoticons is also smaller than the actual emoticons size so it's hard to find the right one.

The first PM pop-up window needs some tweaks alsoPosted Image

Thank You again for Your dedicationPosted Image

Strange, it opens in the same window for me...... maybe because I have popups blocked

I get this (see screenshot) when I click the little 'send PM' icon under your name. It's doing some AJAXy thing (or possibly Flash-based), and to my mind it's not a feature. I'd much prefer it to open the real editor (such as I'm writing this in), with the ability to attach files and such.

The emoticons seem not to work anymore in the private forums, in the public ones they do work fine though.Posted Image
Can you replay this behaviour on your systems?Posted Image

I use Google Chrome last version with a couple of extensions (adblock flashblock and IE Tab), is very fast and leave the most part of the screen free from borders or bars, very user friendly, I like it a lot!

Thanks!Posted Image

Just to reiterate and/or pester...

I really hate the little flashy/ajaxy popup thing when you initially PM someone. Most of the time I PM, I want to send someone a file attachment; the new thing won't let me do so.

Leading to PMs along the lines of "hey dude, I've got something to send you -- respond back to me so I can attach the file on the follow-up response to your response."

Which is ridiculous.
